Volunteer

We accept applications for new volunteers year-round. Applications are held until November, when interviews and board review are conducted. Accepted volunteers begin in January. Requirements for volunteers include:

  • Must live or work in Trout Lake, Washington.

  • Must live within 10 minutes response time to a station.

  • Must pass a physical and agility test.

Additional requirements about meeting and training attendance will be communicated to potential volunteers once they apply. Submit the application form to admin@klickitatfiredistrict1.gov.

Financial support is critical to support rural, all-volunteer departments that otherwise can struggle to fund essential equipment upgrades and training opportunities.
