Wildfire Safety
Trout Lake faces some of the highest wildfire risk in Washington state.
Luckily, our fire district, community leaders, and local partners are continuously working to help residents live safely with fire. Trout Lake became a recognized Firewise USA® community in 2024 and has a designated group, Fire Adapted Community Trout Lake (FACT), dedicated to planning and supporting local wildfire risk reduction work. KCFD1 also continues to boost its wildland fire suppression capacity through training and investment in new equipment & apparatus.
